wild turkey blues...

hi y'all - imagine . . . riding down a country road around 8am on Sunday morning . . . chatting and taking in the gorgeous scene of red, yellow & green, and WHAM! out of nowhere there's a flock of wild turkeys . . . who were probably just minding their own business, too, when here we come. it upset one of them so much that it flew up from a dead stop and knocked out my driver's side mirror. can you imagine how difficult it is to drive safely with no side mirror. well, i've been trying 'cause i had to leave the 'country' and go to town in search of a new mirror...cost aside (ouch)...it was quite an experience.
oh yeah, the serviceman asked why we didn't stop and pick up the wild turkey? i don't know, but we didn't even look back (hope it was okay). we were headed to Sunday School and i guess we wanted to practice keeping peace in our hearts even under upsetting circumstances. did it work? don't know . . . but the Sunday School lesson was the Beatitudes--'Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God.' Matthew 5:9 blessings! :jb

starting again...

hi everybody - here i am again...trying to learn to blog :) i'm happy for those of you who've decided to join me on this journey. i sincerely appreciate you hanging out with me.
i've already posted a chapter from each of the books i had written when i started this journey, but i've got two more now...Praise the Lord! the new novel is: W.O.O.F. (Women of Overcoming Faith); and the new poetry book is: Flittin' & Flyin'...poems on death, birth & life (i just love butterflies.) so what i need to know is...do you think it's a good idea to post a chapter from W.O.O.F. ...or should we just begin again...i find out more about you and you find out more about me.
what's your pleasure?? i need your comments and suggestions to make this a lively conversation...so let me know. i waiting on you...
